Disliked: Some steps. But there is an elevator.

This hotel isn’t quaint at...

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: This hotel is in need of huge renovation. The carpets are grim, the decor shabby. The windows need double glazing as it made no difference to the noise levels when you closed them. We changed room as our view was awful but the next room was little better. There is absolutely nothing appealing at all but thankfully it was only for one night.

Liked: No one said I’d be woken up at six o’clock by garbage trucks! Because I would have selected another room or hotel!
Disliked: Repeat: garbage trucks at 6-7 am every morning. Asked about parking because I have a handicap license plate. No one knew anything.

It was lovely!

Liked: The location was the best! 7 minute walk to the wharf. Paved walking path to Cannery Row and the Aquarium. Many choices for food and coffee. Convenient and afforadable parking!
Disliked: Because it’s a historic building, there were steps and stairs. Interesting configurations. The historic king room we had was TINY!

Liked: Close to the wharf and other places. Quiet not a lot of street noise and no loudness in the halls.
Disliked: The bed was decent but not too comfortable.

Overpriced, loud and very rundown

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Literally everything, it was very run down, overpriced for what it is. The hairdryer unit fell off the wall, it was VERY loud outside, shower barely worked, no water pressure, bad smells.

Meh wouldn’t come back

Liked: It was downtown no parking designated for its guests. Everything echoed. Heard the people above us the whole night having sex

Nice hotel, good location and...

Liked: It was a nice historic hotel within walking distance to most of the attractions. Complimentary coffee and tea which were available in the morning was a nice touch. The hot tub was a nice surprise too. Good value for money too.
Disliked: Although it was great value, our room wasn’t the biggest, plus it didn’t have a wardrobe or anywhere to hang any coats, jackets or any clothes, only one hook on the bathroom door. My wife spoke to the reception about this and was told we had only booked a standard King room, from a voice in the office!! The face to face staff told us to come back in the morning and they would try and sort it. We didn’t go back as we were out early and all of the next day and didn’t get back until late. We were only there 2 nights but I would have thought a wardrobe would be a basic requirement in any hotel room, standard or not.
