A pleasant stay

Liked: Location was great, close to station, and the river for those evening walks, it was great also having pub downstairs. Staff were very helpful especially Laura, very patient with us.

Great for historic value but...

Liked: Historic building, nice garden, decent location.
Disliked: Property itself is fine but staff is not the friendliest/engaging.When we entered our room, the cleaning staff had left a person mobile phone on the desk along with a bottle of cleaning liquid.The rooms do not have telephones so contacting front desk is not the easiest.

Love the Mitre.

Liked: Wonderful stay at the Mitre this was our third visit and will definitely not be our last.. an excellent team from housekeeping ..the place is spotless..to bar staff ..friendly and helpful..and I don't think the breakfast can be beaten anywhere.. thank you to all who made our stay so special .
