I loved the room but...

Liked: Very interesting toSee history
Disliked: The restaurants were to busy to get in and we were staying there we had to walk to offsite to get food to eat and the bars were closed to early

Beautiful place, but apparently needs...

Liked: Beautiful property and amazing surroundings.
Disliked: Some of the staff are rude. Some are nice, but at 12 am I had a staff member of mission inn hotel using a pressure washer on some mats next to my room outside. (room 151) Oh and for some reason someone was vacuuming on the floor above me at 11 pm. My sole purpose for the trip was to get a good nights rest. I did not.

Liked: Beautiful, historic building close to walking distance for most restaurants in town. Sheets & towels were incredible.
Disliked: Being a historic building, it's old! Walls & windows are thin, allowing noise inside & outside percolate in. There seems to always be a smell of must in the hallways... The bed was really lumpy and worn in. Also, was shocked by how rude the staff were. Was hard to receive a "good morning" or even a smile if I made eye contact as I walked by.

Liked: For the price, it was much nicer than a standard hotel stay. I will stay again. I also enjoyed the Spa.
Disliked: It was all great.

Superb

Liked: old world quality feel, comfortable beds in a spacious room.
Disliked: we had dinner in the Presidents Lounge Mexican Cantina. There were photos of past presidents using the room for weddings etc, but the historic nature of the location was undermined by a low quality feel, cage fighting on the TV, 80s pop rock on the PA, and sticky tables. I get that there are a couple of fine dining options on the site for those wanting a more upscale experience but a better effort could be made in this area for casual diners.
