Just the job!

Liked: Excellent location that also solved parking worries. Delightful staff. Ground floor room most welcome. Just what we needed.
Disliked: Two single beds joined together with mattresses of different heights. Not the most comfortable!

Overall a lovely place to...

Liked: Lovely location,minutes from everything,rooms big and clean.Nice breakfast and staff very welcoming and helpful.
Disliked: Second visit to the minster but this time our room was on the second floor which meant lots of stairs especially with suitcases so I’d ask for a ground floor room.Very hot in the room so bring a fan or two.Also I’d bring your own toilet roll as it’s the very cheap variety.

Exceptional

Liked: Quite a large room, good shower. Staff was very friendly and welcoming on arrival.Really good base short walk to town and cathedral. Staff is very knowledgeable of the area.Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent cooked to order, plenty of continental breakfast if you do not want a cooked breakfast. The room was very clean.Car park at the back of the hotel and very secure.The room was completed on our arrival, so we were able to check in a little early.Very good service all round.

Great location and excellent hotel...

Liked: Excellent location, very easy 5 min walk to York Minster and the main tourist activities and restaurants in lovely York. Room was good and beds comfy, on site parking and breaky was really nice with a la carte order plus continental and very friendly staff.
Disliked: Nothing not to like and reasonable value for the location and quality.
