Liked: I recently had the pleasure of staying one night at The Lion Head Pub in Wimborne, and even though it was a short visit, it left a lasting impression.The room was spotless, cozy, and tastefully decorated—ideal for a peaceful night’s rest. Everything felt thoughtfully arranged, from the plush bedding to the charming countryside touches that made it feel like a true home away from home.But the real highlight? Breakfast. It was absolutely superb. I opted for the full English, and it was everything you’d hope for—crispy bacon, golden hash browns, perfectly poached eggs, and sausages that were clearly high quality and locally sourced. The toast was thick-cut and buttery, and the coffee was rich and freshly brewed. It was the kind of breakfast that sets the tone for a great day.The staff were warm and welcoming, making me feel like a valued guest even during a brief stay. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality really stood out.If you’re passing through Wimborne and need a comfortable place to stay with a breakfast that rivals any café in town, The Lion Head Pub is a fantastic choice. I’ll definitely be back for a longer visit next time!
