Super disappointing!

Liked: Central part of town, seemed cute at first and room looked nice
Disliked: Thumping club music, I went downstairs after it didn’t stop at 11:30pm- turns out the CLUB across the street is just super loud until 2am! hotel said they would move us to a suite except it was a smaller room with Queen bed, then they moved me to a King rm but the refrigeratoraerator made super loud noises (I have video), bathroom didn’t drain, aircon was super loud, I was texting with front desk until 12:40am.

Charming, comfortable and clean boutique...

Liked: This hotel has charm and history. The rooms were clean and had character, not like the soulless corporate rooms you get with the major chains. The beds were comfortable with nice bedding and pillows. The shower was great. The coffee/bar lounge was beautiful, open, comfortable, inviting, and their coffee drinks were delicious. The Italian restaurant, ORO, was stellar! Excellent food and service! The location was very convenient to shops and restaurants as well as Colorado College, which was our reason for staying. We had a fantastic stay. Would recommend highly over the corporate chain hotels in the vicinity.
Disliked: They were a bit short-staffed in the mornings, especially on the morning of Colorado College's orientation day.The poor staff was running around trying to help everyone because there was only one person working the front desk and valet, and only one person doing everything at the BLK MGK cafe. The wait was very long for the cafe since only one person was taking orders, making coffee (working as barista), and running off to pick up food orders from the kitchen. Note to hotel management: Please help your staff be successful by supporting them!

Beautifully designed hotel in great...

Liked: Lovely property in historic building. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautifully designed. Nice bar and restaurant on site. Appreciated bottles of water left in room both mornings. Great location in center of downtown.
Disliked: No coffee available in room; no free coffee in the lobby. Had to purchase from coffee bar and the first morning the line was so long we had to go elsewhere.

Superb

Liked: Beautiful, pristine room, as well as lobby area. The attention to detail was above and beyond.
Disliked: We ended up spending quite a bit on street and lot parking during our stay.

Nice historic hotel in good...

Liked: Room was good sized, also bathroom. Lobby area was very nice and comfortable. enjoyed the historic vibe and the art walk gallery in the stairwell. Location was convenient for us.
Disliked: Even very low cost hotels have a coffee maker or kettle to boil water in the room or a microwave. I like to make tea when I wake up and sip while I get ready for the day, so it was an inconvenience to have to go downstairs to get boiling water. Wish breakfast was included, but if not, at least complimentary coffee & tea in the morning. Was also surprised that in a hotel committed to art, our room walls were totally bare, with two framed art pieces resting on a wall ledge against a very busy wallpaper. There also was no towel rack or hook in the sink area, so it was inconvenient to go into the shower room to dry your hands.
