Nice historic hotel in good...

Liked: Room was good sized, also bathroom. Lobby area was very nice and comfortable. enjoyed the historic vibe and the art walk gallery in the stairwell. Location was convenient for us.
Disliked: Even very low cost hotels have a coffee maker or kettle to boil water in the room or a microwave. I like to make tea when I wake up and sip while I get ready for the day, so it was an inconvenience to have to go downstairs to get boiling water. Wish breakfast was included, but if not, at least complimentary coffee & tea in the morning.Was also surprised that in a hotel committed to art, our room walls were totally bare, with two framed art pieces resting on a wall ledge against a very busy wallpaper. There also was no towel rack or hook in the sink area, so it was inconvenient to go into the shower room to dry your hands.

Liked: This is a beautiful building, very thoughtfully decorated extremely comfortable beds and great coffee! I loved sitting in the lobby people watching with a cup of coffee each morning. I also enjoyed the extra amenities. Like the crystal concierge service and the restaurant on site.
Disliked: The bathroom was not as clean as I hoped it would be, and the maid service never took out the trash during our three day stay. this would’ve been OK except the trash cans are so small as soon as you put one item in it it’s full. we were there for three days and we’re unable to get an appointment at the day spa which was a disappointment. The valet was extremely friendly and helpful however pricey. I think they wanted $50 to park our car with no in and out privileges. Luckily there was metered parking on the streets, which was not a problem.

Great location and terrific hotel...

Liked: The room was awesome! It was spacious and clean. Loved the decor; mid-century modern meets traditional. The welcome and check in process was fabulous.
Disliked: The lobby bar was really nice and servers friendly, but at times the service was a bit slow.

Superb refurbishment in an good...

Liked: Loved the decoration and furnishings in the room and public areas
Disliked: No coffee or drink making facilities in the room. On check in they took a $200 advance on my card but didn't explain this at the time. Still not refunded 2 days after checking out

Very good

Liked: Great location, nice bar and restaurant. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Nice staff. Charming hotel.
Disliked: HOMELESS. They are everywhere. Predatorial in nature. Ruins a nice city. Keep your head on a swivel. Keep an eye on your stuff. And no not all cities have this problem. As an example go to Carmel California.
