Overlooking Melford Hall The Mill offers spacious rooms in the center of Long Melford. Located in an excellent position next to the moat of Melford Hall the high street and the nearest bar and restaurant are less than a minutes' walk away. The Melford Room features a handmade freestanding brass bath in the living area and a small outside patio with views toward Melford Hall. The Garden Room features a log fire in the bedroom and has a large private garden for guest use with an outside table and chairs. Both rooms are on the ground floor and have exposed oak beams and high ceilings. Both rooms have indoor and outdoor seating areas and are fitted with large wall mounted flat-screen televisions. There is a private parking space allocated outside each room for guests. Free WiFi is available in the rooms. Breakfast is served in the conservatory of the main house. A full cooked vegetarian and continental breakfast is available in addition to seasonal favorites such as home made blueberry pancakes porridge and smoked salmon with fresh scrambled eggs from The Mill's chickens. The area is popular for cycling and canoeing. The Mill offers free use of kayaks and bicycles for guests to use so you can explore the river in Sudbury or use the bike routes in and around the village. Cambridge is 27 mi from the bed and breakfast. The nearest airport is London Stansted Airport 24 mi from The Mill Long Melford.

Liked: A perfect location near Melford Hall and at the top of a very interesting town High Street. Great Host, very helpful with bags and recommendations for our stay in the are. The breakfast was exceptional in terms of choice, quality, the only 'issue' was that the portions were enormous!! Fabulous.
Disliked: We wish we could have stayed longer.

Nice breakaway.

Liked: Bathroom was excellent, lovely shower as well. Very clean accommodation, breakfast was good especially the pancakes! Good location. Coffee machine was nice and a good tv. Nice conservatory breakfast room.
Disliked: Breakfast coffee, probably instant. Had the tea instead the following day.

Brilliant special place

Liked: The breakfast was amazing everything was cooked to perfection The breakfast room was lovely, clean and spacious full of interesting things to look at …information about the Mill and the surrounding area too it was very relaxing and the hosts were brilliant The room we stayed in was absolutely wonderful all the little details just made it special
