Great location,good food would recommend...

Liked: Location was amazing,the bed was very comfortable and overall very clean
Disliked: The tables were slow to be cleared/cleaned,every table on the terrace was covered in glasses that we had to move ourselves.There was an electrical fault with the lighting in our room which meant we had to sleep with the lighting in on,this was passed on to reception in the morning.

Disliked: Poor choices on evening meals

Liked: Lovely location, great views, really polite and friendly staff, lovely bar terrace.
Disliked: The shower was a handheld one. It worked well, but it wasn't what I'd expect.

Liked: Location, looking over the meadow while dining.
Disliked: The room was small and very hot with little ventilation resulting having little sleep. No water in the room meant going down three floors to buy water from the bar. Being on the third floor with no lift made it difficult for my wife who has a fractured back.

Disliked: Parking can be difficultHotel looking tired Room really hot. No A/C… fans provided but pretty useless.Bathrooms jaded, chipped paint and woodwork.One room window wouldn’t open One room smelt of cigarette smoke.

Overnight stop

Liked: Good location overlooking the water meadow. Free parking. Very good evening roast dinner and a piping hot cooked breakfast next morning. Staff were very welcoming.. Nice walks across the adjacent meadow.
Disliked: Nothing to report

Bad

Liked: The surrounding countryside.
Disliked: The room was a tiny attic, which had no air conditioning, only a fan which stirred the warm air around and was reached by 56 stairs with no lift. The room was totally unacceptable but the hotel was completely full so no alternative was available.The only two features of the room that were acceptable were the shower and the television both of which were excellent. We shall be writing to Suraya Hotels with more detailed comments!
