Potentially a good hotel let...

Liked: Breakfast was ok, staff were great.Quiet area, great scenery right next to open parkland
Disliked: Hot water failed leading to a very cold shower in the morning but management did not see fit to inform the residents.Parking was very limited and should be restricted to residents but was clearly open to non-residents dining/drinking. Not great when on street parking was also very limited.

Liked: Fabulous location, very pleasant staff.
Disliked: The fact that the water in all the rooms was freezing cold all weekend and they didn’t fix it.I was told there would be fruit at breakfast and a couple of bananas and a couple of apples to me was rather limiting.The only milk was in a jug labelled hot water and was empty , and was next to the coffee jug. There was no milk next to the cereal.

Disliked: Coffee at breakfast was poor, those old fashioned flasks don't cut the mustard in today's climate of coffee quality and choice.The eggs at breakfast were either scrambled and not fresh or were bespoke ordered poached or fried and arrived hard. The scone we had the previous afternoon appeared to have been heated in a toaster or defrosted, it was tasty but had the consistency of toast,

Disappointed this time

Liked: We love the area and spent our wedding weekend here so this was for our anniversary and the 3rd time we've stayed here.
Disliked: The bathroom was not cleaned very well and needed a good scrub. It was very disappointing. The restaurant for breakfast had flies all over the ledges and they're us no way that many were from being cleaned the evening before.

Unfortunately will stay somewhere else...

Liked: Good position by the meadows for walking
Disliked: Couldn’t get WIFI in our room When flushed the toilet the plumbing was very loud ! Banging..Thought someone was coming in the room.

Liked: They were quick to do an upgrade to a much better room when the hot water in the showers didn’t work well. The meadow walks around the hotel were wonderful. Hotel itself pretty and fairly well maintained.
Disliked: Reception staff truly poor customer service. Lazy bored and quite uninterested was the attitude, which was disappointing as this was not the case anywhere else in Sudbury. All restaurants and cafes serving staff are so friendly and efficient, keen to help and serve well. They don’t ever pick the phone it seems and even worse there’s no phone in the room, so if you have no local phone coverage you’re stuck. if you need something as we did, we had to walk down and back up 3 floors again. Unimpressed by the reception staff. They need a lift in the hotel or guests to be made aware the floors are quite steep and the third floor is a long way up with heavy luggage.
