Liked: Accommodation was OK for a budget hotel. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: The ridiculous parking fee (£7.80 for a £58/night hotel), and associated hassle having to add an app to the phone, add payment method etc etc. was completely unnecessary. Booking.com needs to modify its statements regarding parking fees for this hotel - they are definitely levied, not 'may be'.

Disliked: The dreadful performance with parking my car. Apparantly there are two types of guests at your hotel and I wasn't the correct type. I had to stand outside the hotel in the sun and phone some third party to pay for parking. What sort of hotel lets another company run it's car park?The room was tired, uninspiring and hot, The air con didn't work, the shower didn't work nor did the internet and nor did the charge point for the phone. Breakfast OK , bacon was cold and the scrambled eggs were dry. Not keen on tinned fruit. Choice very limited.The hotel was seriously understaffed with 2 people trying to manage reception, the bar and serving food in the evening.I have never been in such an uninspiring hotel without table service for the evening meal. Food orders had to be taken at the bar which meant a queue and a wait for someone to return to the bar. The bar man had limited knowledge of wine, didn't know what the wine stock was and confused a rose with a sauvignon blanc. The bar had no stock of wine and it had to be fetched from elsewhere. The barman seemed surprised that I should want to order a bottle of wine! I had to do most of the work for my guests myself....really embarrassing.Unfortunately we had invited some friends for dinner and the whole performance became a farce. The supervisor kept telling me that I had exceeded my room allowance (whatever that is) and didn't seem to understand the concept of a room account being chargeable. The food was just about edible if I am just being polite. I have had better food in a 2 starhotel in Italy. Finally on check out I was overcharged by about £70 and had to go through the printout in detail to get it put right,I have stayed in many BW hotels around the world but this was just about the worst.
