Dating to the 1740s The Mews Hotel is set in a charming courtyard in Ossett between Wakefield and Dewsbury. It offers real ales in the cozy bar and a restaurant serving classic British cuisine. Set in the courtyard wing each room features a Smart TV and free tea and coffee. All rooms have a private bathroom with a hairdryer and toiletries and an iron is also provided. The Mews' relaxed restaurant uses only fresh ingredients sourced locally where ever possible. With exposed beams and an original log fire the bar also stocks a range of ales fine wines and champagne. Offering free on-site parking the hotel is 1 mile from the M1 motorway and only 20 minutes' drive from Leeds' vibrant center. Low Laithes golf course is 1.4 miles away.

A much better choice than...

Liked: Friendly staff, lovely pub, decent breakfast, plenty parking, comfy rooms right next to the motorway junction. Breakfast was perfect.
Disliked: It was all great

Very good

Liked: Small but practical single room, comfy bed. Limited but very nice breakfast.
Disliked: Shower was very weak but I got wet eventually!

Great evening meal and a...

Liked: Great evening meal and a very clean, comfy room. Large room which was very clean, tea coffee all provided etc. The food at the pub is delicious. You should eat in the pub is you stay here!
Disliked: Road outside is a little noisy at night.
