Great family break.

Liked: We were a family group of 8 septuagenarians staying for 2 nights. Whitley Bay was a great location and we enjoyed a visit to St. Mary`s lighthouse to see the seals. Paul made us very comfortable and provided excellent breakfasts, and also provided a set of champagne glasses for us to toast my father (who grew up in the north-east) on what would have been his 100th birthday.
Disliked: Nothing to complain about.

Liked: Good location, friendly welcome.Room was lovely with all you could ask for. Breakfast was excellent.
Disliked: Nothing - great place to stay on a visit to Whitley Bay.

Overall pleasant, but spoiled by...

Liked: Great location in Whitley Bay. Freindly welcome, great breakfast. Room OK for the price.
Disliked: The room had an electric shower which did not work properly. Kept switching to cold, making showering impossible. Speaking to friends and other guests at breakfast, it seems this was a problem in other rooms as well. Possibly due to low water pressure causing safety cut-out on the showers. Fortunately we were only staying one night - if it had been a longer stay this would have been a major inconvenience.
