Fun, comfortable, safe and didn’t...

Liked: Staff were super friendly, the decor was great. The restaurant was very good too. The location was really good, easy to walk to all the important tourist places easily.
Disliked: The room was a little dark as the heavy curtains covered half the windows when opened, but that’s just picky.

Lovely hotel. Missing pool.

Liked: Location was great and rooms were clean and modern. Reception staff were very helpful.
Disliked: The pool has gone! Replaced by a concrete box with some table tennis tables at one end. Mini golf and basketball were very basic.

Liked: Location was perfect. Walking distance to parliament hill where all the sightseeings are.

Disliked: AC in all rooms is terrible. We had 2 rooms and both had AC issues. We even switched one of our rooms and the AC in the new room which’s on a different floor was the same. Not great in June/July.

Go-to hotel in Ottawa when...

Liked: Location was very central and conveniently located.Check-in was quick and easy. Our room was ready even before the 4 pm check-in time, so we were very lucky! The room was spacious and tidy, with everything you need already there: vanity kit, bottles of water, a selection of beverages already in the drink fridge, and extra towels and pillows. Our Atrium room faced the courtyard, so it was very quiet and still got lots of natural light from the skylights!Ordered room service for dinner and the attendant on the phone was friendly and accomodating. Cocotte is one of my go-to restaurants in the city when I want to feel luxurious!I made use of the fitness room, which had everything I needed for my usual workout as well as plenty of space.
Disliked: The shower floor tiles could get a little slippery, so be careful when you're in there. We could've used more hooks for towels and robes, etc. Counter space in the washroom is minimal, so the shelf under the sink became very useful.2/3 of the dresser drawers was used for coffee/creamer/etc. and the safe, so there wasn't a lot of space to "unpack".

Liked: We always really enjoy our time at the Metcalfe. We stay annually for our anniversary and look forward to our stay. The small details, (the smell when you walk in the lobby, comfortable bedding, amenities in the room) are factors that contribute to our experience. But more importantly, the exceptional customer service is huge contributor to our reason to come back time and time again. Thank you!
