We paid 59 pounds for a pretty good room and breakfast. Can't fault anything for that price. Would definitely use again. Really close to Leeds Academy.
Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Holly on reception was particularly good.

Perfect location
Liked: Excellent facilities, the bar stayed open late & although it wasn't manned constantly the staff catered for us when we requested. Breakfast options were very good including Gluten free.
Disliked: The plumbing wasn't too good but I was on the 4th floor. Quite expensive for one night for a single person.

Traditional character
Liked: Older, tired in parts maybe. But, So different from modern templated hotels. Refreshingly different.

Good
Liked: Breakfast was exceptionally good. The bacon and black pudding was particularly noteworthy, and the service excellent.
Disliked: I arrived before my friend, with whom I was sharing a twin-bedded room. Her details, and a key, were left for her at reception when I checked in. However, this information was clearly not passed to the member of staff who took over reception from his colleague. I received a call from my friend who was at the hotel but being told that there was no record of my booking and they had never heard of her either. She was clearly very upset and panicked. This should never have happened.

Was used as a place...
Disliked: Room was like a sauna on arrival and had to switch the Radiators off and open all the windows. There was also chewing gum stuck upon the curtains. The Menu for breakfast was greatly described and was looking forward to the sausages. .... However they looked as though they had been cooked in a deep fat fryer......
