The Merlin an elegant 19th-century inn is located just 1640 feet from the independent shops and restaurants in affluent Alderley Edge's village center. A pub restaurant with a stylish chandelier made of wine glasses free private parking are available on site. Wilmslow's town center and rail station are less than a 5-minute drive away. Manchester Airport is less than 10 minutes' drive from Innkeeper's Lodge Alderley Edge and scenic walks can be enjoyed just 20 minutes' drive away in the Peak District National Park. Excellent Hotel, In a lovely...

Liked: The Merlin is a lovely HOTEL walking distance from Alderley Edge. Lots of pubs and restaurants in the very nice town, but if you stayed and had food and drinks at The Merlin you would not be disappointed. Lovely restaurant area inside and outside. Excellent food and service. We had a lovely lunch. Looking forward to our next stay. THANK YOU.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Liked: Lovely food, nice restaurant.
Disliked: 40th birthday party below our room making it impossible to sleep. Had to spend all evening with the tv turned up to drown out the noise. Should have been informed of this event prior and would have cancelled our booking. Not happy.

Good location, decent food..

Liked: Good location for our business meeting..Decent dining on site. Pretty expensive drinks.
Disliked: Room was very hot and overlooked main road, windows didn’t open much or close properly. Cooled down once sun had set..No elevator at property.

Convenient stay for our needs.

Liked: Good evening meal.
Disliked: No guest lounge to relax in. Lots of dust on lights and other fitments in dining room and bedroom. Exterior “tired” and needs repainting.
