Liked: Everything!!! we have been staying here for the past 5 years for occasions such as Christmas or Birthdays,, it has always be exceptional, from arriving to departure the staff are outstanding, and we will be looking forward to are next stay,, top class hotel

Relaxing stay in lovely surroundings.

Liked: Check in was quick and easy, all staff werehelpful and friendly, surroundings are luxurious and relaxing, breakfast was fab.
Disliked: A fridge in the room would have been good to chill water and keep fresh milk fresh. Our room was quite noisy because of local bars so it took me a while to get to sleep.

The Merchant is an amazing...

Liked: The food at The Merchant was excellent and we ate at almost every dining option that they had. The service was swift and they anticipated our needs very well which is a sign of great waiting staff. Reception were very helpful with any queries I had and had fulfilled my request for twin rooms which was great as my two grown up sons were rooming together for one night.
Disliked: The rooms that we were in are not well soundproofed and there are a number of pubs and clubs opposite the hotel. Normally it wouldn't have made a huge amount of difference and I'd have been less annoyed about the noise factor but it was my son's wedding the day we left the hotel and it was really difficult to go to sleep with the noise of music coming from the pubs/clubs.
