The Spotlight on The Mercer

Upscale Soho Vibes Just Steps From NYC's Music Scene

Modern, minimalist, and effortlessly cool, The Mercer brings loft-style luxury to the heart of Soho. Just a short stroll from Little Italy and Washington Square Park, this 5-star hotel is known for its high ceilings, marble bathrooms, and boutique sophistication. Whether you’re in town for a major show or a hidden gem performance, you’ll love returning to this serene, stylish space after a night out.

Why Concert-goers love it

Tucked into a quiet street in the vibrant Soho neighborhood, The Mercer is perfectly placed for music lovers. You're within walking distance of downtown venues and a quick subway or cab ride from major halls across Manhattan. Despite the central location, the rooms are remarkably quiet and spacious—ideal for recharging after a loud night. With flexible check-in at 3:00 PM and a generous 12:00 PM checkout, there's no rush the morning after the show. Plus, the 24-hour concierge can help with last-minute tickets or late-night ride arrangements.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends looking to explore NYC’s nightlife in style
Solo travelers treating themselves to a luxury stay around a bucket-list concert
Couples making a romantic weekend of their music plans
Fans needing a peaceful, upscale retreat after a high-energy gig
Budget-conscious fans may find it a bit of a splurge—but worth it for the comfort and location

Food and Drink Options

While there's no on-site restaurant open late, Soho is packed with walkable eateries offering everything from late-night ramen to upscale tapas. Room service is available, and breakfast can be arranged to suit your schedule—perfect for a late start after a late night. The concierge is also happy to recommend local favorites open into the early morning.

Nightlife Options

You're right in the middle of Soho’s buzzing nightlife scene. From underground jazz bars to rooftop lounges, it’s all just a short walk or ride away. While The Mercer doesn’t host live music on-site, its relaxed lobby library is a great place to unwind with a drink after the show, and many local spots feature live DJ sets and performances.

What People Say

Guests rave about the loft-style rooms, exceptional service, and quiet luxury in the middle of a busy city. Reviewers love the walkable location, the stylish design, and the thoughtful touches like yoga options, dog-walking services, and a well-stocked reading lounge. Many highlight the staff's warmth and the concierge’s ability to make any stay feel special.

Areas for Improvement

It's a splurge—more suited to a special occasion than a budget trip. Some guests note the lack of a full in-house restaurant or bar, but with Soho’s dining scene right outside, most don’t mind. Also, while the vibe is relaxed, it may not suit those seeking a party atmosphere on-site.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers who want to pair their night out with a luxurious, quiet retreat in one of NYC’s coolest neighborhoods, The Mercer hits every note.

Great location, very very old...

Liked: The location is the best location in soho.
Disliked: The hotel is very old. The room is very old. The bathroom is very old, everything is falling a little bit apart, it’s not worth the price, for that money you can stay great hotels in New York City, I think you need a very substantial upgrade to the hotel facilities.
