Disappointed was like being transported...

Liked: Good location. Breakfast - good choice and service.
Disliked: The decor was very shabby and in really in need of maintenance and upgrade. The cleanliness of our room and generally within the hotel/bar areas was poor. The hairdryer in our room, the old fashioned type attached to the wall had the flexi hosepipe missing.

Good value, well run hotel

Liked: Decor a little tired in places but room was clean, toiletries were provided, room was very well stocked with tea and coffee and bed was comfy. Staff were organised and friendly and the breakfast was a nice bonus. Given the price, this hotel exceeded my expectations.

Liked: Matt the host was very obliging informative and cooked us a great breakfast We enjoyed the darts and snooker and drinks were reasonably priced
Disliked: Bedding needs to be improved especially the pillows Toilet didn’t flush Hot water took ages to come through No pressure in shower tap Too many stairs with no lift

Very good value and excellent...

Liked: Very good value. Close to student accommodation which was handy for us. It was clean, comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.
Disliked: Parking was a little tight but OK. And the shower was very weak and took ages to warm up but we were on the top floor. A water pump would help a lot. I gave up the idea of washing my hair as the water flow was inadequate.

Disliked: bathroom and decor was a little tired.

Great for what we needed...

Liked: It was easy to find, close to some shops. Close to where we needed to be for our weekend . Good choice of breakfast included
Disliked: Pub downstairs was grubby and needed a lick of paint Unfortunately it was red hot in the rooms due to the weather ! Maybe fans could be on offer ?
