I think there’s better options...

Liked: The reception area and hallways are very sleek and dining facilities look inviting and quite trendy. The location is good, still amongst lovely restaurants and shops but away from the main shopping precinct
Disliked: The lady who checked me in was super friendly and helpful in suggesting sights. However when I returned that evening, and for the remainder of my stay, she was gone and the new staff were quite uninviting - not much eye contact as you walk in, no good mornings or anything like that. Friendly interactions I would expect from hotel reception so this was a bit of a shame. I also booked a king bed but it appears they just push two singles together, the split between them is felt when you lay down as there is no mattress topper. It was very uncomfortable and I felt a bit robbed for the cost of the room.

Disliked: Noise woke us up water run off falling from height landing on pressed tin flashing in the night sounded like water leak inside ,but was out side

Beautifully restored hotel

Liked: Beautiful hotel, great bar and location
Disliked: The heritage room was beautiful but so noisy. Saturday night hoons and nightclub traffic was pretty constant til dawn. I’d stay in one of the newer rooms at the back of the hotel next time.
