Originally built in 1882 this charming hotel has been lovingly restored to its former glory and features an elegant restaurant and bar. Each room includes satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. Surrounded by historic buildings dotted among the vineyards The Martinborough Hotel is a 1-minute walk from the Martinborough Wine Center. Cape Palliser is a 55-minute drive away. The Hotel's restaurant Union Square Bistro led by Michellin star chef Adam Newell offers beautiful food in relaxing surroundings. Union Square Bar with its collection of memorabilia and historic photos provides a comfortable space where locals and guests alike can relax in front of the cozy fire. The wine list includes a selection of wines that have been grown and made within walking distance of the hotel. Convenient location with old charm.

Liked: Location was spot on. Rooms were super clean. I liked the spiral wood staircase that led to the rooms, my room was in the Petite section of the hotel. The heating was top notch. Bed was comfortable.

Superb

Liked: Loved the history of the place. Staff were very welcoming.
Disliked: Dinner was very noisy from a larger group we were seated by. Took some of the enjoyment out of what was my 70th bday dinner.

Cheeky wee vay cay

Liked: Super friendly check in staff- beautiful suite- soooo quiet was fabulous felt like a wee private oasis!! Fab bed amazing shower - water pressure fantastic- loved the Ashley&Co bathroom amenities - ease of check out was great as well - we shall defo be back and hopefully for more than 1 night next time
