A total gem of a...

Liked: Friendly welcome by the proprietor. Well furnished room and throughout. Lovely breakfast. The whole property was spotlessly clean. Good location with sea views. Ample parking in the area.Would totally recommend staying at the Marine, whether for one night or seven plus.
Disliked: There wasn't anything not to like.

Liked: Everything! The room was superb, the bed the comfiest of the whole trip, and Karen and Richie the perfect hosts. We'd book the Marine and stay with them again!
Disliked: There was nothing we didn't like (apart from having to leave to come home).

Fantastic views and exceptional food

Liked: The room is lovely. All be it the luxury room bed is a little high if your short. But is very comfy. The en suite sure is luxury. If I had to change anything I would have put the luxury en suite with bath in a room with a sea view.The dinning room is warm and inviting, as for the conservatory WOW. I could sit in there all day and just watch and listen to the sea. Shell made us breakfast every morning which we both have to say we're superb. Salmon, Haddock, full breakfast or scotch pancakes. Everything Shell made was just perfect. Shell even made it extra special on my partner's birthday. Thank you Shell.If you're planning a trip to Thurso during Autumn Winter Months do research 1st into what restaurants are open and the same for whisky tours. We found a lot closed early or wasn't even open at all. That doesn't take away the fact that the BnB is just beautiful, warm, welcoming and would defo go again.
Disliked: The hight of the bed was too high for little legs.

Liked: The breakfast was outstanding. The location was excellent. The guest lounge had a great view along the beach.
Disliked: The bed was uncomfortable. It was sold as a king-size bed, it wasn't.
