Definitely not what I expected

Liked: The only good thing about it was the big pool
Disliked: For the amount of money it’s rundown outdated. The paint was terrible. Everything‘s cracking and peeling. It’s very dark with that 1960 smell.

Nice winter stay

Liked: The property is beautiful situated on the lake, with lively views from where we were. Small refrigerator with a freezer was helpful and the table with two chairs at the picture window was enjoyable for morning coffee.
Disliked: It is under renovation and clearly needs it. But was comfortable and clean and we enjoyed the gym and pool, sauna and hot tub experience. Only trouble there were underage kids in the hot tub and rules not enforced there. But otherwise it was great.

Probaly a 5 star stay...

Liked: Awesome facilities and the staff that we encountered were very friendly and accomodating. You cant help but feel like your kind of an inconvenience though, besides the pool and coffee area there are no other amenities available during the winter.
Disliked: Having to leave a full service hotel to find food elsewhere. If the margates not motivated enough to serve any food or beverages in there two restaurants maybe they should leases these spaces two private vendors to operate. Saw plenty of fellow travelers at the breakfast spots in laconia where they both had long waiting lists. Great looking arcade in the lake building as well but its closed for the season

Liked: I liked the familiar surroundings. I have been coming here for close to thirty years except when my wife got sick five years ago and passed last March. This place brought back many fond memories that can not be replaced with a dollar. I came too late this year but I like the restaurant at the Resort, Breakfast and Dinners.The place needs some touch ups but overall was quite enjoyable. The Staff that were there were great,
Disliked: It would have been nice to have the restaurant open like the advertisement said , the end of October. A few maintenance items like water stains on ceilings, and a few exterior walls, And a few door ways with chipped paint on the frames. I remember a better maintained facility a few years back but, I also consider business took a hit with Covid. We are lucky the Resort is still openToilets are great for kids but someone with Arthritis like me can not practically sit on the floor and get up again by myself.
