The Mantissa Hotel

Great place

Liked: The front desk staff was great. We checked in later in day and she was very nice and gave us some good information for our stay and suggested we grab a drink at the rooftop bar before they closed. The old / renovated building itself is beautiful. We loved that they had some breakfast snacks and drinks available - which we had not expected. It was great to have a living/dining/kitchen area - especially the full size fridge and a stove (though we didn't use it). The town is tiny, and everything was walking distance and parking was so easy.
Disliked: The bathroom needed better cleaning, specifically the shower. It has some mildew around the edges that was quite noticeable. The lights in the closet would not turn on.

Disliked: Rates were a little higher than I wanted being it wasn’t a holiday or major events in the area

Liked: Hotel was clean, and nice. Room was clean and spacious.
Disliked: Given the wrong room. Booked a king suite with balcony. Coffee maker in room didn't work. TV in bedroom didn't work. Pillows were flat as a pancake and even with three pillows used for one person, they still didn't offer enough support.

Disliked: Staff was non-existent when we arrived for check-in so had to come back and then wait in line for service. Room had a full kitchen with Keurig but no pods. We felt that the staff did not do a thorough job of prepping our room for the one night we stayed there. Sleep number bed did not work sufficiently and the bathroom sink was more of a horse’s trough than a sink with no place to put your toiletries. Only one thin towel per person. Rooftop bar served the worst dirty martini I have ever had - could not finish it. Service there was good and the surroundings were pleasant enough but the bartender needs to take a bartender course. Dinner next door at the steak house was wonderful.

Liked: I loved the scenery and how everyone including strangers were having a good time. Good food surrounded everywhere. This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel and I love it.
Disliked: The only thing I disliked well it's really not a dislike just that if you're gonna have stoves to cook on can you guys get trash cans to put in the kitchen and not the small ones because people traveling do bring food to cook.Some people don't eat downtown they rather cook like I did. I had meat packs and nowhere to put in a trashcan to fit. But other than that I loved. But a bigger trashcan for the kitchen is a must if people are bringing food to cook....
