The best hotel there is...

Liked: Breakfast was a DIY affair down in the basement. Room was alright but nothing special and certainly not worth the charge !!
Disliked: Didn't like the dark and grubby stairs down to the bowels of the place before we went up two flights of stairs to the rooms

A comfortable and quiet stay

Liked: This is a lovely building with very unique bedrooms in a good location for the town. The owners are lovely and super helpful

Liked: Very charming 16th century hotel with well decorated and comfortable rooms. Would recommend. Host Richard and his wife were very nice and pleasant.

Great location, large room with...

Adequate…just.

Liked: It was very handy for where we were staying…good location.
Disliked: Small room, rather tired and not very warm.The bathroom had poor lighting as did the room.I struggled to put makeup on.I felt it was expensive as breakfast was extra.

Liked: We were put into one of the cottages even though we’d booked a hotel room. It was cosy and comfortable. Very quiet which was great. Tastefully decorated. Freezer a welcome addition.
Disliked: Limited amount of hot water and that’s not what you need when looking forward to a bath after a day’s walking. There was enough for half a bath and then there was a 30 minute wait for it to warm up again. Bed was a bit short for my husband, no chopping/bread board.

No hesitation in recommending -...

Liked: Wonderful character property, host and well equipped room . Bed was very comfortable and smelled citrusy fresh = good nights sleep.
Disliked: Nothing
