Superb

Liked: The location was great. The view from the room was fabulous. The staff was very well trained: non invasive but new exactly what to do. The food was great.
Disliked: The two taps in the bathroom was a bit dated, but added to the charm. The use of leisure centre was not obvious.

Tranquil, exceptionally relaxing and amazing...

Liked: The views are breathtaking as the hotel is perfectly situated on a lovely hillside. It is extremely peaceful and tranquil. Guests are warmly greeted by friendly, attentive staff and they go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. The dining room and terrace are a highlight, especially on a beautiful sunny day. The evening meal was amazing. Freshly cooked, using local produce. During my stay I had a delicious crab risotto. There is a varied children’s menu also. Breakfast is plentiful with lots of choice, and is a combination of buffet and table service. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Some rooms have been upgraded to include walk-in showers. Again, some rooms have fabulous views over the hills and garden. The pool and gym areas are an additional bonus, but the pool area and showers are dated and in need of refurbishment. However, this did not detract from our very relaxing and pleasant stay.

Lovely staff and location

Liked: The staff were friendly and the location was lovely.I liked all the history around Mount Everest.
Disliked: The TV didn't work in our room and they were too short staffed to be able to come and take a look.The food was ok but they need to stop using fancy french names, it's standard hotel food. The hotel has the potential to be lovely but needs some money spent on it. Little things like the paintings could be more in keeping with the style and age of the hotel. Our room was at the back and only a small part of the window opened. They left a fan in the room but it didn't do much so we had to take the duvet out of the cover and just use the cover as it was so hot all night.

Lovely place in beautiful surroundings

Liked: Clean, comfortable room with great views of the countryside. Friendly, helpful, efficient staff at reception and in restaurant. Tasty food served in lovely surroundings. Dog friendly. A great place for a short break. We will return.

Disliked: The bar furniture was a bit tired and the menu could have been more extensive although the food was all good. On our last night there was a wedding party and the menu dropped three mains options

Liked: Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff were really friendly. The pool was great to cool off after a hot day.
