Stay was great as always...

Disliked: The room temperature could be warmer the heating is ok but not that great to be honest

Shame about the manager.

Liked: Convenient location and, on the whole, lovely staff. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: The bed had too small sheets and duvet, not covering the mattress, only just reaching the edges, and old fashioned feather. Needs modern duvet and fitted sheets. The manageress should remember that guests can hear her negative comments of them and keep her rude opinions to herself. Because of her rudeness (which I overheard when standing behind her in the bar area) I won’t be rushing back.

Liked: Good value for money. Needs a lick of paint but good room for what we paid. Nice bar area
Disliked: The guy on reception was helpful but very slow, didn’t grasp what guests were telling him and took forever to do anything

Liked: Staff were fabulous and made it an experience :) Decor in bar and reception area is fantastic. Food and drink delicious. Lovely grounds for a morning strolls This was our second stay and we’ll definitely be back
Disliked: Carpets in corridors down to bedrooms could do with renewing

It was a great location...

Liked: Great atmosphere and very friendly attentive staff. Room was very clean.
Disliked: Tv was not working in the room. The evening meal was fair but I think overall expensive for what you got. Roast chicken mash and carrots £21.00, a bowl of veg (asparagus and peas) for one was £6.00 and £12.00 for a very small panacotta was excessive! It did not feel like fine dining so a service charge I felt was also over the top. It left me a little disappointed and annoyed.
