Manhattan Club is a nice, reasonably priced hotel in a great location.
Liked: Location. It was within walking distance to the event I was attending.

We thoroughly enjoyed the location,...
Liked: The room features were excellent for our family of four. We were very comfortable and pleased with the amenities. The location of this hotel was superb, near wonderful eateries, walking distance to Times Square and Central Park. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even helped source us a private car to transit back to the airport. Excellent service all around.
Disliked: Small maintenance repairs are needed. For example, we noticed the towel rack on the bathroom wall outside of the shower was unable to hold a towel as the bar fell off. The door handle on the refrigerator was broken and the bedroom door didn't close shut. Very small issues I'm sure they will update in time.

Perfect location for Carnegie Hall
Liked: I was in New York for a performance at Carnegie Hall. The Manhattan Club is located virtually across the street from CH and so, was perfect for my needs. The staff were very friendly and did an outstanding job. I will be staying here whenever I have another performance at CH.
Disliked: Although my friends told me that their rooms in nearby hotels were even smaller that my City Lights suite, I did find it a bit compact in comparison with the pictures on the website.

Great location and friendly staff...
Liked: Friendly staff, great location and the breakfast was pretty good.
Disliked: Our room was very small and the blind didn't roll up so we had no natural light.

Liked: In the past, we have enjoyed staying at the Manhattan Club because of its location and its spacious rooms. Unfortunately, on this latest trip, there were several things that did not work out right. Hence my average rating. First, the WIFI just did not work. Neither in the main lobby nor in the room (even though the front office gave us two WIFI networks to try). Next, the room itself -- the knob in the coat closet kept falling off; as a result, it was really hard to open the closet and put away/get our jackets etc. One of the kit hen closets had a malfunctioning door (loose hinges). These are small irritants but the bigger issue with the room was that bed had a nightstand on just one side. My partner had no place to put his water bottle , specs... and no reading lamp either for him. The bed was very spongy and the way it was positioned, only person could get the ac effect. My partner on the other side of the bed had to sweat it out. The breakfast offered was ok but the behavior of the staff there was shockingly bad. The tall thin one was behaving like he was guarding the crown jewels -- repeatedly telling that one could take ONLY 3 items plus a juice OR a hot beverage. Seriously? You really believe that guests who pay $400 plus to stay at the MC are going to overload on the continental br on offer? And worse, the two guys at the br counter were allowing some guests to dine in the lounge and others were being told that they could only carry the stuff back to their room. I asked the staff at to why this difference and he said "oh! there are different vouchers for different guests!" How is that even possible? All that it says on the MC page on booking.com is that "Breakfast is served in the Club Manhattan private lounge daily". It doesn't say anything about some guests being allowed to dine in and others not. Anyway, they really left a bad taste in my mouth with their drill sergant like behavior.
