Very Good

Liked: A fabulous stay at The Management Centre. The breakfast is excellent, the staff very friendly and a lovely room which was very clean. The Management Centre is convenient for the train station (15 minute walk) and the shops in town (10 minute walk).

Very good

Liked: Lovely location overlooking the Menai Straits. Good sized, comfortable, room. Bathroom lovely. Good choices at breakfast. We also had supper in the restaurant (1884) - well prepared and good value.
Disliked: Some might be put off by it being a bit of a walk to Bangor town centre - not an issue for us. The public areas are quite institutional - but it is an institution!

Overpriced

Liked: The staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The accommodation is very much like a hall of residence and quite basic. However, the price of the room was comparable and in some cases higher than many of the hotels in Bangor. I felt that the accommodation was expensive relative to the facilities offered. The bed in our room was extremely uncomfortable and based on the condition of the base (see photograph) I suspect quite old. The purpose of this stay was to break our journey and be refreshed for the journey to Holyhead, instead we were exhausted the next morning due to the poor nights sleep.An alarm of some sort sounded continuously for about 20-30 minutes during the night which contributed to this.I am not sure what had happened to the television but it seemed to have a band aid applied to it!

Disliked: Difficult to negotiate your way round the venue, two sets of staircases to get to my room on the ground floor ?
