Liked: right hand side of the bed had a squeak, but was the side that had the socket to plug the computer in....password for wi-fi was wrong, so had to go and find someone to sort it.....glass blocks were a nice feature, but a night a lot of light came through.... messaged them to say i was coeliac so was not happy there was no gf sausage or toast for my breakfast.

Liked: Great location right on the river front, near 'the bridge' with lots of shops and pubs within easy walk. Nice size room and bathroom and access to outside garden area. Food was lovely, especially breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff.
Disliked: Garden a mess really, looked like not tidied all year. Could be such a lovely area to sit out in (and charge more for!). Bathroom needs some tlc.

Ok if you like loud...

Liked: The location was excellent and breakfast was good
Disliked: The room was above a room with very loud music. There was live music on until 1.30am and it was so loud you could hardly hear yourself speak and could not hear the TV. The floor even vibrated under your feet. The room was extremely hot and you could not open the windows. There were 2 fans but they made little difference. The parking was very limited in the area.

Would stay again but specifically...

Liked: Great location and friendly staff
Disliked: We stayed in the drawing room which appears to be directly above the drinking den. Felt like the live band were in the room with us. If you want a quiet night ask for a quiet room. I’m sure there must be some and we just got unlucky but as it was only for one night we just got on with it but it was very loud

Disliked: Having to pay £153 for my bother who was suffering with cancer and had to pull out of the reunion the day before the trip,

Noisy and smile-free, but good...

Liked: The location close to the river is lovely The food at breakfast was really great.
Disliked: Whilst there is reference to the live music on the website and at the bottom of the booking email.However, I wasn't prepared for how noisy it was even in the daytime. Presumably because it's an old building there is virtually no sound proofing.Whilst a couple of the staff were friendly, most of them weren't. Just a smile would make for a better customer experience.
