Classic Charm Meets Downtown Convenience

Modern comfort with a touch of historic elegance, The Magnolia Omaha is a boutique-style hotel located just three blocks from the Old Market District and under a mile from major Omaha concert venues. With its vintage architecture and upscale vibe, it’s a favorite for travelers looking to stay close to the action while enjoying a peaceful night’s rest.

Why Concert-goers love it

You’re just a short stroll or complimentary shuttle ride away from downtown’s big-name stages and intimate venues. After the encore, retreat to a quiet, comfortable room with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and plush bedding. Late arrivals are no problem with a 4:00 PM check-in and easy 24-hour airport shuttle. Whether you're coming from a day of travel or a night of revelry, The Magnolia makes the transition seamless.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends hitting a weekend festival
Solo travelers chasing their favorite bands
Couples on a romantic music-filled getaway
Fans wanting a quieter post-show recovery spot
Budget-conscious music lovers who still want quality

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no full-service restaurant on-site, you're just minutes away from the Old Market’s endless dining options — many serving late-night bites. Grab coffee from your in-room machine or explore nearby breakfast cafes for a slow start after a late night. The complimentary shuttle makes it easy to duck out for a quick meal, and the staff is always happy to recommend local favorites.

Nightlife Options

You’re steps from downtown Omaha’s vibrant nightlife scene. Whether you're looking for craft cocktail lounges, live music bars, or dance clubs, you’ll find something to match your vibe. While The Magnolia itself doesn’t host live music, it offers a laid-back lobby lounge perfect for a nightcap.

What People Say

Guests love the hotel’s location near the Old Market and its free downtown shuttle. Many highlight the hotel's elegant atmosphere, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms. It’s often described as a “hidden gem” for travelers who want convenience without sacrificing charm.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the building's historic nature means rooms can vary in size, and the hotel could use a few modern updates in décor. Others note that while the shuttle is a great perk, it can get busy during peak times — so plan ahead if you're catching a show!

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers looking for a stylish, well-located stay in downtown Omaha with easy access to venues and nightlife, The Magnolia Omaha hits all the right notes.

Mary, Norfolk, visiting Orpheum Theater Omaha

Disgusting! Black in bed and shower. When I told the front desk they apologized but nothing else was done. A discount for the room would've been nice!

Disliked: Black gnats in bed and shower.

John, Norfolk, visiting Orpheum Theater Omaha

We had tickets to the Orpheum presentation of The War Horse. Enjoyed being so close to The Old Market. We shall return!

Liked: Loved the atmosphere, both inside and outside The Magnolia. Love, love seeing people coming and going and had "ownership" of their stay. Breakfast was fantastic! Staff was great!
Disliked: The beds were listed as queen sized but was only double bed. We have queen sized at home so knew this wasn't correct. It's hard to please everyone but the mattress was so soft we kind of "gravitated" to the middle.

Disliked: The $100 incidental hold seemed excessive compared to other hotels especially for one night.

Stunning Stay in Omaha

Liked: The historic building was STUNNING! I really enjoyed the detail within it all like the paintings on the ceiling and the courtyard was a lovely space that was within the heart of the hotel but still allowed for some outside time. The room was pleasant and the shower had great spout pressure. When I booked, the area had seemed pretty central, but I wish it would have been more near the water, that is more of my issue, though. Really enjoyed the gated self park lot behind the building, I felt my vehicle was safe and it made loading/unloading luggage much easier.
Disliked: For stating it is a "pet friendly" facility, I felt there wasn't a lot of consideration for pet travelers. When we arrived, there was not clear signage for parking and once we did park in the back of the building in the gated lot, there was only a woodchip area in the designated pet zone. I was hoping for some grass. We also had some bad luck and the phone in the room did not work so we were not able to order down for room service which is a small inconvenience and just resulted in doing Ubereats.

Overall pretty good jsut disappointed...

Liked: Loved the court yard, and the room layout being two stories was very cool compared to other rooms I’ve been in. The diner down stairs was great food for room service.
Disliked: The tv’s are very outdated. Carpet seemed a bit old. Had no towels but maybe one small towel. Only had one coffeee cup lid. Was very hot walking in. Had to leave for a couple hours once we got there jsut to let cool down.
