Liked: Location was excellent. Staff were incredibly friendly and professional.
Disliked: The pipes were very noisy every time another room ran a tap or flushed a toilet (although that's often the case in old buildings).

Lovely period style hotel in...

Liked: Period style. Not the sanitised chain style that is convenient but boring, this place has character. Staff we lively and couldn’t be more pleasant and helpful
Disliked: The only minor criticism was perhaps an upgrade of pillows

Liked: Great location. Lovely 1875 period rooms and decor. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Liked: The breakfast was simple but convenient. The room we stayed in was the suite and was huge. And the location was ideal, very central and close to the wharves. And working distance to cafes and shops nearby.
Disliked: Wasn't a bundantly clear having to book paid parking on site. And the coffee in the morning was also an extra cost.

Liked: Lovely character filled building. Clean and stylish. Great staff. Easy access including during after hours.I rated it 8 but it's not far off a 10. Points were lost due to traffic noise in room 11 (but it is the city and I've stayed at much noisier places in Hobart) and the bed was ok but could be comfier (i like a nice firm bed. Again other places in Hobart are worse).

Ideal location in Hobart

Liked: A great central location, 10 minutes walk to waterfront, CBD, car hire. Lovely old stone manor house, large room, high ceilings with 2 lounges to sit on as well a desk. Check-in was easy even though it was after hours. Staff good, continental breakfast also good. Hotel nicely decorated, hallways and other rooms full of interesting furniture. Enjoyed our stay.

Liked: Very comfy, large suite. Great bed and pillow. Lovely breakfast and friendly staff.Great city location!
Disliked: Heater in rm 8 not very effective.
