Liked: Fantastic location with many restaurant options nearby.Clean, comfortable and spacious room. Excellent and prompt communication prior to my stay.Great continental breakfast.Hidden gem in Hobart!
Disliked: Property car parking spaces are limited.

Liked: Interesting old building, spacious rooms, continental breakfast with some appealing options ( leaf tea and tea pots for those who prefer it). Easy walking to waterfront and Hobart CBD.
Disliked: Our ensuite was not squeaky clean and we had no external window to see outside. Very limited parking on site.

Fantastic historic hotel in the...

Liked: The Macquarie Hotel is exceptional - we loved our stay here. The staff were incredibly friendly, the hotel is a beautiful historic mansion, it is really close (walking distance) to all the main Hobart attractions and restaurants, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again!

Great location in a heritage...

Liked: The location was amazing, staff did all they could to please, renovated downstairs areas were a delight, breakfast was a basic offering-juice, pasties, yogurt and one type of cheese. Baristas coffee was available at an additional cost.
Disliked: The major downside was the dark, dingy and I might say spooky room. Or room didn’t even have a window. In saying this, the ned was new, comfortable and the bed linen immaculate-so I guess I shouldn’t complain.My tip would be to get rid of the ancient furniture (less is more) as no one is sitting on that lounge and it is not helping your appeal.
