Liked: Breakfast is good.Location is excellent, liked the outdoor space and garden.Staff are 4 star in keeping with a luxury hotel. Norbert in reception was particularly helpful.
Disliked: Dinner menu limited and not up to prices charged.

Exceptional

Liked: Everything! The hotel is lovely. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in the center of delightful Broadway. We just loved our time in Broadway and at the Lygon Arms

Very very disappointing. Someone who...

Liked: The location and the building is unique and exceptional but....
Disliked: ....everything else wasn't! It was like staying in Fawlty Towers! Check in was really late at 4pm but you had to check out at 11am the next day. We couldn't get a reservation in the Grill at a decent time but then we could after pushing them. However, when we sat down the restaurant was half empty all evening. The food was mediocre at the best. I am not sure James Martin, who puts his name to it, has visited in a while! The staff were untrained, stressed and didn't seem to know what they were doing. We walked out of the bar as the bar tender refused to move a seat to a table so two of us could sit down. One or two staff were good but they seemed exasperated at the lack of support. We sensed there was no real management at all. Earlier in the courtyard bar we waited ages to be served but there were no apologies. The rooms and common spaces were tired looking with scuffed paintwork. The bed was too large in the space in the room with no bedside light on one side. When we requested a light it was plonked on the desk as the cable wasn't long enough to go to the side of the bed. Eventually we got an extension lead at 11pm. To top it all we walked out of our room and 3 pigeons were perched on a rafter above our heads. I had to mention to reception that they needed to be removed. We will not be going back.

Liked: Breakfast: amazing, nice room, excellent options - and plenty of options. Ordered eggs Benedict and they were outstanding!Room: nice decoration, very clean.
Disliked: Overall cleanness of the common areas could be improved.

Liked: Amazing service from the moment we arrived. Staff and the hotel itself were great
Disliked: Our room was very dark with a side and rear view which wasn’t ideal. It was very hot (but middle of a heatwave in the UK) despite the fan provided

It was alright but there...

Liked: We couldn’t switch the hot tap off and we were told to leave it on all night. This was annoying.
Disliked: As above. The service was also slow in the bar.
