The Lookout Rye

We booked for two nights...

Liked: Location and friendly, helpful staff
Disliked: The weather was hot and our bedroom had French windows which faced the car park and no other ventilation. We slept with the doors open but were concerned as there was easy access to our bedroom for anyone. It was also noisy with deliveries and late arrivals.

Disliked: It was too hot in the room with no fan , sleeping was difficult as the big window are locked shut.

Disliked: No breakfast available on site. Had to go 200 yards to George Hotel. Cleanliness poor. large cobweb on bathroom ceiling. Hairs on shower wall. Stains on carpet. Whole hotel looking very shabby. No iron was available.

Great staff but tired interior

Liked: The staff were generally really good especially the person sorting out the breakfast (he was amazing!). The breakfast itself was good despite the coffee machine not working. The location of the hotel was perfect as everything was accessible in Rye.
Disliked: The decor was tired, the carpet was frayed, there were cobwebs around the windows (inside), the net curtains were frayed and generally it just felt a little run down.
