Disappointing stay in what could...

Liked: The rooms were spacious. Indirect lighting options are a nice detail. Staff was friendly and receptive to the issues that arised, which is good but the issues in question could have easily been avoided. The gym has great equipment. Rooms were clean.
Disliked: For a 5* property: these are the issues at hand. The hotel has no car access and no staff is on either side of the street to help with luggages. We were given a room without a working a/c in the middle of summer. Make sure to avoid a room facing Leicester Square as it makes sleep impossible before 2am. The pool and spa area are unfortunately open to people with outside shoes making the space unhygienic. The staff is slow to pick up the phone, requiring multiple times to get an answer and all too often they hung up on us before a follow up question could be made.

Liked: Stay at this hotel many many times and it is always excellent. I never ever have any reason to complain.
Disliked: Nothing

We'd stay at the Londoner...

Liked: loved the private Residences. Staff there were so nice and helpful. Good menu to order off of. We got upgraded for our room and enjoyed the view, size of the room and cleanliness. The design is top notch!Bed was super comfortable and loved the Toto toilet.
Disliked: The 8 Rooftop restaurant was a disappointment. We were supposed to have a table for dinner but they hosted an event and pushed us to a small table with no view. No comping of drinks or anything to appease us. it was to be the highlight of our stay there but a letdown.

Liked: Good location and comfortable bed and pillows
Disliked: Service in the restaurant was disappointing - staff too busy chatting. My main course arrived and still no wine arrived. I asked twice for dessert menu and then once I had received it, no one bothered to take my order, so I paid my bill and left. The restaurant could have been great as I was sitting outside but staff chatting amongst themselves and not watching tables - disappointed
