Gorgeous bush boutique stay shhhh
Liked: Amazing venue location, quirky arty design impeccable taste, restaurant and bar on site. Feel like group of people make beautiful memories here everything on site.. Like to come back peak summer for pool and garden bar. Gorgeous surroundings. Liked pin for room save keys cards lost looking. Comfy beds. Bush setting amazing relaxing.
Disliked: Sadly our shower leaked badly, I feel like its an ongoing issue looking at other reviews and no response as weekend in rural area.. Incomplete room service had to ask for things but staff were friendly and helpful when I did..

Good facilities for a short...
Liked: Chose the accommodation for the location - close to nature and walking trails to waterfalls.
Disliked: Cups too small, no spoons

A beautiful and quiky escape...
Liked: The property is gorgeous inside and out. It had a wonderful feeling immediately. Very relaxed and I loved the decor / theme.
Disliked: Th bathrooms, however it was clear when I booked that these were not yet renovated. I appreciate that upfront. The sauna could be cleaned out daily it collects leaves.

Nice relaxing stay. Great venue...
Liked: The grounds are beautiful. We love the swimming pool, sauna and the tennis court but it’s a shame the fencing around the court no longer exists (lots of lost balls).Lou’s restaurant is wonderful and the staff there are exceptional.A nice update to the room decor from previous trip which was lovely. Mismatched plastic hangers not so glamorous.
Disliked: The internet was non existent. The room and bathroom needed a good clean which was a similar issue on our previous visit. Couldn’t walk around in bare feet without feet becoming very dirty. There is no plug for the kettle and had to use on the floor at the side of the bed.Would like to see better breakfast options other than a breakfast basket delivered to the room. Which was too expensive. The restaurant would be a great place to serve breakfast.

It’s a beautiful lodge but...
Liked: The greenery around the lodge. The restaurant had a great ambience with tasty food. The gym.
Disliked: Television wasn’t working spoke to staff promised to fix it up however they never did. Lost access to water on one of the days. Whilst the food was nice at the restaurant it was a bit pricey. Code to our door also stopped working on one of the days as well. They had bicycles to ride however the tyre of the bicycles needed some air pumping. Had an arcade room which had some games however the space in it self was extremely dusty and needed a bit of cleaning you could clearly see the dirt on the pool table.

Nicer on
Liked: The room was not clean enough and needs to be refreshed. There was only one seating option for four people, which meant we had to bring heavy chairs from the balcony. The room was not comfortable for a family of four. Our family, including the children, enjoys outdoor facilities. However, it would be nice if the hotel provided tennis balls.

Bittersweet experience
Liked: We stayed at the lodge from January 2nd to 5th, hoping to wrap up our summer holidays on a high note before returning to Sydney. However, our experience was a mix of highs and lows, leaving us with mixed feelings. Our first visit to the lodge was during the COVID pandemic, and we were instantly charmed by the property. The picturesque champagne garden and the lush natural flora gave the place a distinctly European vibe that we adored. We enjoyed a lovely lunch and were eager to return, this time as hotel guests, to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the location. When we checked in on January 2nd, the receptionist was warm and welcoming, and we were delighted to receive a room upgrade. Room 205, located upstairs with a balcony overlooking the large swimming pool, seemed like the perfect start to our stay. Unfortunately, our excitement quickly faded upon entering the room. Also, we had dinner at the lodge’s restaurant, Lulu’s. The food was delicious, and the experience was enjoyable, but it was one of the few highlights of an otherwise disappointing stay.
Disliked: The room layout felt poorly planned. For example, the kettle had to be boiled on the floor because there was no designated spot for it. While cups for tea and coffee were provided, there were no spoons. The mini fridge was awkwardly placed inside a wardrobe not designed to hold it, causing heat to build up inside. The bed was comfortable, but I was surprised to find that the mattress and pillows lacked protectors, a basic hygiene standard for any hotel. The bathroom was even more disappointing. Dirty footprints were visible in the shower, and the floor was covered in hair and sand. The vanity was rusty and outdated, the shower was mouldy, and there was only one soap bottle that had to be moved between the shower and sink. The sink tap was loose and leaking. Additionally, the absence of a room phone meant that any requests for assistance required a trip to the reception desk, which was inconvenient, especially for guests with mobility issues. The lodge’s outdoor amenities had potential but fell short. The free bikes provided were rusty and in poor condition. The playroom, though a fun idea, was chaotic, pool table balls were scattered on the floor, and ping pong rackets were damaged. While I understand it was school holidays, the lack of supervision led to the space being left in disarray. The swimming pool area looked inviting, but the water was murky and filled with tree debris, indicating a lack of proper maintenance. Housekeeping was another letdown. On our second day, we expected our room to be cleaned and refreshed. After waiting most of the day and enquiring at reception, we were assured the room would be cleaned. While relaxing on the balcony, we noticed the cleaner had rolled up our used pool towels and reused them as bath towels. The bed was hastily made, and the entire cleaning process took about three minutes. To make matters worse, the toilet paper wasn’t replenished, leaving us without any for two days...

Loved it - we would...
Liked: The staff were very helpful and friendly. My son got sick while we were there and helped facilitate a doctor appointment. The room was a little dirty when I checked in and they also facilitated extra cleaning. The surrounds are incredible - the art was fantastic and the activities abundant. There was a summer holidays kids activities schedule where kids made friendship bracelets and the food was fab - as were the ccktails.
Disliked: More towels (they ran out when I was there) and a dustpan broom in the rooms as rooms weren't cleaned daily.
