Beautiful and peaceful stay with...

Liked: The room was exceptional in cleanliness, amenities and housekeeping staff. We enjoyed the surrounding areas and lucky enough to enjoy Easter Brunch and the Easter festivities for our grandchildren. Everyone from the front desk, Ventana Lodge staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had a beautiful view and had everything needed for a wonderful four-night stay. Thank you, Ventana Canyon Lodge, we will see you again soon!

We must say, the restaurant...

Liked: Generally, our stay was enjoyable. The $400-plus charge per night was too much for a room that looked out on a parking lot and screened tennis courts.
Disliked: As mentioned above, over charge for that room was not worth it! The lighting and furnishing could use an upgrade,

We were a little disappointed.

Liked: The property is lovely but could use a fine tuning. It’s not quite up to a five star accommodation. We were very disappointed in the restaurant. The service was great, but it took us 20 minutes to get a drink and another 20 minutes before our appetizers arrived. There were only a few tables occupied at the time.The Lodge had several events and was 100% booked. As a result, our room was not what we paid for. The staff, Samantha and Shania were very helpful in moving us to another room when it became available three days after our original date.

Overall enjoyed our stay

Liked: Service was very good in the restaurants and other amenities. Recommend upgrade to mountain view rooms. Standard rooms are loud and face the parking lot.
Disliked: Green fees and golf shop poor value. Both are overpriced with no discount offered to resort guests.

Liked: Lovely large room, comfortable bed, large bathroom.
Disliked: Pretty far out of town. Restaurant mediocre at best.
