The Spotlight on The Lodge at Lolo Hot Springs

Peaceful Mountain Getaway for Post-Concert Recovery

Rustic, cozy, and surrounded by nature, The Lodge at Lolo Hot Springs offers a tranquil retreat in western Montana. Just off Highway 12, this lodge-style stay is ideal for travelers looking to unwind in natural hot springs after a big night out. With scenic views, clean and comfy rooms, and a laid-back vibe, it's a unique base for concert-goers exploring the Missoula area.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you're attending a show in Missoula but want a peaceful night’s sleep away from the city buzz, this lodge is perfect. Located about 40 miles from town, it's a scenic drive to and from the venue, giving you time to decompress. Late check-in is available from 3:00 PM and the quiet, natural setting ensures a restful post-show recovery. Plus, free parking and WiFi make logistics easy.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends seeking a fun, nature-filled weekend
  • Solo travelers wanting a peaceful space after a big night
  • Couples making a romantic getaway out of a concert trip
  • Fans who appreciate quiet surroundings after the encore
  • Budget-conscious music lovers looking for value with memorable charm

Food and Drink Options

While the lodge doesn’t have a full-service restaurant, guests can enjoy a buffet or continental breakfast—ideal after a late night. Each room includes a microwave, coffee machine, and fridge, perfect for quick meals or snacks. There’s also a grill in the garden for those who want to cook out under the stars. While late-night dining isn’t available on-site, bringing your own snacks is a good move.

Nightlife Options

The vibe here is more peaceful retreat than party hub, but for those wanting a chill post-show drink, the hot tub under the stars is hard to beat. Missoula’s nightlife is about an hour away, so consider this a place to relax after the big night out rather than extend it.

What People Say

Guests love the natural setting, friendly staff, and clean, comfortable rooms. The hot tub is a major highlight, especially after hiking or a long night. Reviewers also appreciate the good value for money and the quiet, relaxing atmosphere that helps them recharge.

Areas for Improvement

The remote location means you’ll want to plan ahead for meals and transport. Cell service can be spotty, and the WiFi, while available, isn’t ideal for streaming. But hey—sometimes disconnecting is part of the charm.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers who want to escape the crowd and soak under the stars, The Lodge at Lolo Hot Springs offers a relaxing, mountain-style stay that hits all the right notes.

Very relaxing atmosphere

Liked: It was great, relaxing atmosphere. Very friendly host. A lot of things for my granddaughter to do. It was a short stay do we didn't get to enjoy all the outdoors had to offer.
Disliked: I can't say there was anything I didn't like, but it would be nice if the check in time was a little earlier. With the time short between the check in and the check out it doesn't leave much time to utilize all there is to offer. It's pretty pricey for a 1 night stay, makes it hard to stay more than just 1 night.

Could Use Some More TLC

Liked: Spring water was nice
Disliked: Room smelled. Discovered it was a disgusting fridge, which was not even plugged in and had bacteria-infested water pooled up in it. I'm fairly technologically inclined and it took some serious finagling to get the TV to where we could watch a DVD (only way to have something on TV).

Wonderful weekend stay.

Liked: The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The lodge room was clean and smelled nice. It was peaceful and quiet for the weekend. The scenery was beautiful, with a few little walking paths. We enjoyed the hot springs + pools for guests, and even hit the disc golf course! We really enjoyed our stay.

Cozy

Liked: The hotsprings and breakfast were perfect. The view was also very nice. The staff was super friendly and the beds were pretty comfy.
Disliked: The room wasn't very clean. There was trash under the beds and a bug in the sink and the tub had a lot of dirt in it. There also was not much light in the room. The TV was not set up very well either. All bearable things but I think it would benefit to be a bit more diligent with upkeeping the rooms a bit better.
