Love the location, Staff could...

Liked: Room was slightly dirty and a bit uncomfortable. There was a gap under the front door. A large enough gap that had a few buggies come in. Also, the balcony was filthy and a huge tree that blocked any views. I loved the Johny Rocket. The staff was good, and meals were very good.
Disliked: I went for a walk every morning, Two things. I was not allowed to bring in my bottled water of the casino after my walk. I was also not able to use the gym being at the Lodge. I was not aware of that before the reservation. I was ignored at the middle bars. I sat for 10 minutes and the female bartender totally ignored me. No hi, No I will be right with you. Just ignored me.

Liked: The price point.
Disliked: It appears the setup for checking in is to go to the Casino Hotel check-in desk. I was 7th in the queue and 30 minutes later was finally checked in. Lorraine was the only one at the desk but pleasant and apologetic, especially about not having a first-floor room for us. With no one at the Lodge itself to check you in, finding the entry to the Lodge was actually a challenge. After a day’s travel, all the hassle of checking in, driving back and forth from Lodge to hotel and back again, walking stairs, unpacking, etc. we were finally able to rest. Very unfriendly way of doing business. The accommodations were clean and fairly updated. They do put a $50 hold on your credit card for “incidentals” which Lorraine failed to mention, but she also never gave me a receipt so I had to invest extra time later figuring out the additional charge. Best thing about the stay was the price point. Would we stay again? Not if the check in procedure stays the same. Too much hassle.
