Lovely location but disappointing stay.

Liked: Pretty location and good food with lots of choice and reasonably priced. Room was a good size and nicely decorated.
Disliked: The guest lounge (Library) which is the only area for guests was closed for two days for a conference...no advance notice given (we booked four months in advance). Had to spend any time at the hotel in our room as the bar area was reserved for diners only. I know mattress preference is quite personal but we found the mattress very soft and lumpy. Restaurant staff were good but the reception staff were not welcoming or very personable. Clearly they trade off their walk in restaurant trade and do not value their resident guests as well.

Disliked: For what we got the price of the room at £245 per night was a bit pricey, the only reason we stayed there was because we where attending a wedding at the hotel.

Liked: We had a lovely stay in the beautiful village of Luss, enjoying a warm welcome and fine food in the hotel. It is a super place to stay

Very dissapointing

Liked: Nice location, plenty of parking
Disliked: Bedroom - not much room around bed, bed was way too high to even sit on comfortably. Porridge at breakfast was brought out after cooked breakfast was served. Staff harassed us to take dinner order then were no where to be seen when we were ready to order. Two burgers were overcooked, millefeuille pastry dessert was like cardboard and tasteless. Wedding party in lounge meant there was no where to sit after dinner apart from restaurant and staff were a little impatient for us to leave.
