Lovely and comfortable hotel

Liked: I loved the room and the view from outside the window, the bed was super comfortable and the staff were very friendly
Disliked: Nothing, everything was perfect

Exceptional

Liked: We married there last year so knew it was a lovely hotel. The room was clean, breakfast was delicious, location beautiful.

Good location but need to...

Liked: Location is excellent, lot of parking.
Disliked: Unusually this time the dining experience was not good. Long waits for service initially and then ordered drinks not delivered and long waits for food. We have stayed here many times so know it can be better.

A curate's egg.

Liked: Young staff were excellent. Lovely evening meal on first night. Location is fab (been several times before)
Disliked: Breakfast was extremely disappointing. I opted for the Continental - Selection of croissants...err none. Fruit salad - platter empty except for some manky left overs of melon. Arrived at 8.20 - no flavoured yoghurts. Asked the lady in charge - "You'll have to wait they're kept at the other end of the hotel" (seriously!). She delivered a room service breakfast and when she came back to the restaurant she started clearing tables. No flavoured yoghurt for me! This was first morning of my stay. Didn't bother the next day. Had something at Minchellas who had everything as advertised.

Great surroundings and food but...

Liked: The location and food was lovely.
Disliked: The facilities are dated and the room had no plug sockets next to the bed. The room had no fridge and the kettle was bad. The mattress was a spring mattress which wasn’t comfortable. The TV remote didn’t work properly.

Superb

Liked: Have been before as South Shields was my home town. Lovely location and breakfast, will come again.
Disliked: Loud music from the wedding venue until midnight. 11pm finish would be better.

Pleasant

Amazing location but decor and...

Liked: I loved the location, right next to the beach and the fact breakfast was included.
Disliked: The rooms are very very outdated, although the room was reasonably clean but the rooms could do with a complete revamp for the price you pay, the taps in the bathroom were ridiculous, either freezing cold or boiling hot and no air conditioning on a very hot weekend. Its a shame really because its a beautiful location The staff are great and it could be an even better hotel.
