Liked: The location is fabulous and we had a room with a view which was great. The beach is nearby and we enjoyed walking along the coastal path above the beach to town or along the pier. The location is the main reason to stay at this hotel! Pillows , bed linen and towels good
Disliked: The mattress was too soft and lumpy in parts, really bad for your back! The tv is small, bring your glasses! Breakfast consisted of the cheapest products available and the fried egg was strange as though it had been microwaved. The staff in the dining room seem unhappy and thus their customer care is basic - on asking for hot milk for my weetabix I was told that the machine wasn't on and that it wasn't included!! Very strange! Milk can be heated in a matter of minutes in a microwave - I have stayed in cheaper places and never had a problem! On leaving I wasn't asked if my stay had been enjoyable, they are probably scared of the answer !!

Excellent location, perfect family short...

Liked: Room was clean, very close to the beach, plenty of parking, excellent location with great views from the room (with view). You can watch ships coming and going and if you're an early riser catch an excellent sunrise over the sea.
Disliked: Breakfast was OK but not the best I've had in a hotel. The bed was too soft and springy for our liking as we're used to a firm mattress, but not a huge issue for one night. You may be woken by large ships leaving and arriving, but again, this has to be expected really and it's a cool novelty.

Exceptional

Liked: Great parking clean good for walking on the beach
Disliked: Stopped serving food at 7:15 every night found that strange

Good value hotel with comfortable...

Liked: Lovely location right on the water. Good sized bedroom on ground floor with bath and shower with good quality products. Very friendly welcome at reception, nothing too much trouble, asked staff for a hairdryer and got it straight away. Lovely choice at breakfast with perfect views from the restaurant.
Disliked: Nothing. A great stay and would come again.

Relaxing and calm

Liked: The penthouse room was amazing. The staff go above and beyond. The view from the hotel is absolutely breathtaking which is why we try and come every year.

overpriced

Liked: The Location was good, Room was a good size, staff were very helpful
Disliked: The TV in the room was tiny and not adequate for the size of the room, similar to a Laptop Screen, also the weather was very hot and no fans in the room

Liked: I love Shields my husband was born in Shields so as a family we go to Shields. It was the first time at the Haven 11 us plus our dog. Very dig friendly
