Lion Inn - Saint Augustine

Liked: Very conveniently located to the amphitheater (only 1.4 miles away, and right on the same road as the amphitheatre). The bathrooms were obviously newly remodeled. Nice shower, toilet, and vanity. The room has a microwave and fridge in it. The bed was fairly comfortable. Also, we were able to park right outside our room. Front desk staff were friendly.
Disliked: The room we had was pretty small (one bed, 1 chair, 1 nightstand), but it was fine for two people. The hotel is located on a pretty busy road, so you can hear the traffic going by from inside the room. It doesn't have much atmosphere or any kind of view, but if you are looking for a clean room that is close to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and reasonably priced, this will fit the bill.

Liked: If you are looking for somewhere to simply just sleep, this is a great place. Nothing lavish, but exactly what you need for a quick stay in St. Augustine.

Probably wouldn't stay at this hotel again - would use this website again though.

Very good

Liked: The room was clean and spacious. Air conditioner was adequate and the room smelled freshly clean. The owner was very friendly and made sure we were comfortable. If you're into supporting local businesses and you want to meet the person you're renting with, this is your place. The location right next to the Mellow Mushroom was very convenient for a quick dinner before our concert and the amphitheater was less than 5 minutes drive.
Disliked: No issues.

Spend the extra money get...

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: The room was disgusting and they didnt want to let us swim. They did end up letting us in pool after we said we wouldn't stay if we couldn't.

Adequate and clean hotel. No...

Liked: Excellent location within walking distance of the historic downtown. Very clean room and ample parking.
Disliked: No hot water for a shower. Bare minimum for comfort. No coffee maker in room.

Exceptional

Liked: Owners where very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure our kids got to enjoy their fireworks on the 4th.

Liked: They don't have breakfast.
Disliked: Charged extra for second child. Only allowed 2 Washcloths and 2 towels for 4 people. No coffee pot in the room. All they have in the lobby is coffee which they only have very small cups. No breakfast at all, not anything. The bed was very uncomfortable. The pool had no umbrellas or shade to sit under.

Best Budget Inn!! Clean and...

Liked: Really enjoyed our stay! We asked for a room away from the highway and they upgraded us not only to a room away from the highway but a much bigger room. The room was spotless. The location is unbeatable. If we are ever in St Augustine again, we’ll be back!
Disliked: My husband complained that the pillows were uncomfortable and made his neck hurt.
