Very good

Liked: Rooms were OK as we're the staff
Disliked: Bar was abysmal. No beer, no whisky, no liquers. In fact all that was offered was red wine or rum. We paid for breakfast and there was no breakfast. We asked for a refund in order to buy breakfast elsewhere. We were told that they couldn't do that. This hotel should not be advertised on your site. I will be asking for a refund fir the non existence breakfast.

Worked well for an overnight...

Liked: Location in the heart of the town.Very friendly staff.Historic room with views of the Cop.Adjacent parking at a discounted price.

Pleasant

Liked: Bed was very comfortable,lots of towels snd tea and coffee facilities.
Disliked: The room was very small and needs a little up dating and a lick of paint.

Spacious and quirky but not...

Liked: Dickens stayed in the suite we were in. It was old and quirky, they had parking for £5
Disliked: It was very noisy from above and the street outside. The bed says large double but more like a small double. Had to boil the kettle on the floor because of no available sockets

Disliked: Breakfast was supposed to be included but they had stopped serving it

Disliked: Had a single room bed was squeaky and could here the next room noise also pipe work in morning sounded like a lawn mower at 5.30 am

Disliked: We checked in to be told there was no breakfast available. Hotel very old and tired. No hot water in the shower, the bath ran just about lukewarm, so we decided not to bother. In the bar, there was no draft beer and 'the coffee machine wasn't working.' Windows didn't shut, so we couldn't block out the noise from the bar next-door door. Very disappointing - not good enough
