Carole D, Southampton, visiting O2 Academy Liverpool Mon, 9 July 2018

Terrible, all this for £157.50. Will only stay again in WINTER.

Liked: Clean room and comfortable.
Disliked: No Air Con. The room was unbearably hot - the supplied fan just circulated hot air. I had to have a cold shower at 1am just to cool myself down! Very little sleep due to this and suffered a very bad headache because of tiredness and overheating.

A little difficult to find. Tucked out of the way. Excellent breakfast - plenty of choice, including fresh fruit, great tea and coffee machine.

Liked: Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room very clean with all the amenities one would expect. Good tea and coffee tray.
Disliked: The hotel restaurant was disappointing - starters were good but the rest of the food was lacklustre. The batter on the fish was soggy and the chips with the burger were not crisp. Portion size was good.

Pity the chef did not take any pride in the layout of the cooked breakfast. It was just thrown in the serving dishes and not rotated. Lots of waitresses, so why could they not serve tea, coffee and toast to elevate the crush at buffet style breakfast?

Liked: Hotel and facilities excellent; would highly recommend hotel.
Disliked: Breakfast was very poor but could easily be improved; a problem with continuous door slamming - do the arms need adjusting for a quiet close?

Friendly, clean hotel in a...

Liked: Best hotel we have stayed at in Liverpool. Friendly and helpful staff. Food on site for breakfast was self service. Plenty to eat even if you are a vegetarian or have food tolerant needs. All the food that we helped ourselves too was hot and tasty. Another bonus was that toast was pre done on a dish from the buffet as you filled your plate with hot items. Cold continental food, croissants, cereal, fruit all available as well. An array of various hot drinks from a machine as well as cold juices. Our twin room was clean and fresh. The beds lovely and comfortable. Room had a radiator so you can control the level of heat in the room, also tea and coffee facilities and tv. Bathroom was very clean and had complimentary shower gels etc. Hairdryer in drawer in room as well as an integral safe within the wardrobe. Our room overlooking Lime street station and we could see the radio tower very clearly. Windows double glazed to prevent noise from the station. Fridge in room that is stocked with various bar items. On arrival you are forewarned that if you open it you will be charged for items taken. The hotel is really close to the theatre and all the sites of interest in Liverpool. We will be returning soon. Thank you.
Disliked: No complaints. Very well run hotel.

Good for one night

Liked: The breakfast was fantastic!
Disliked: The bathroom wasn't very clean, there was still someone else's hair in the shower. The walls are very thin so we kept getting woken up by the guest above and next to us

Very good

Liked: Excellent location, good rooms, lovely shower and fabulous towels. Great choice at breakfast and we had a beautiful dinner too. Parking team were exceptional and deserve a special mention.
Disliked: Attention to detail eg loo roll needed to be requested following check in! Huge wait during dinner over an hour from finishing dinner to receiving dessert and then the bill.

Great service food is lovely...

Liked: Easy access to city centres and trains /docks all in walking distance the cavern and all the Beatles history was easy access by foot the trains are so close to the centre to if you don?t drive this hotel is less than 3 mins walk to lime st station were there also are a few hotels along that route but the Liner Hotel has free parking facilities for patrons were as others don?t . Lovely food three course meal ideal for the theatre at the bottom of the road 2 mins away. The Liner Hotel is a themed hotel based on the ships of years gone by the decor for kids rooms is bright and loud the adults rooms are spacious with safes in rooms for valuables there website is a great guide
Disliked: Apart from only having 2 teabags and small cups absolutely nothing
