The Lily Inn - Burlington

Very pleasant (but please, coffee!)

Liked: Beautiful historic house, nice breakfast in the stately dining room.
Disliked: I was surprised that there was no coffee available, even though there was a kitchen with a Keurig with every other drink known to man, except for coffee. Even at breakfast, no coffee until I asked for it (probably 3 times). Makes no sense in a bed and breakfast. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay.

Liked: The Lily Inn is a welcome change from chain hotels while traveling on I-95. Hot biscuits and eggs cooked to our preference was a wonderful way to start the day. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We'll definitely be back!

Liked: Lovely location, property and room.
Disliked: Brewed coffee not drinkable. Breakfast wasn't tasty: bagels were nasty and pineapple wasn't ripe. Eggs were nice, though.

I felt completely at home....

Liked: I was very satisfied with the breakfast. Fresh juices available as well as variety of fresh fruit and yoghurt. The scrambled eggs and crisp bacon were on a hot plate which I could help myself. There was plenty to eat. Coffee also available either from a caffetiere or Keurig dispenser. The muffins of different flavours were also good and moist.

Liked: Attractively decorated, comfortable, historic inn. First floor Sitting Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, all very impressive. Twenty-four hour Kuerig coffee and snacks are available in the kitchen.
Disliked: Even though the bathroom in the Bird Room was nicely updated, there were white splatters on the wall by the sink, and the baseboards were quite dirty. From the website, the impression was that on the weekends there would be various freshly prepared choices for breakfast, however what was served were pre-prepared cold eggs and bacon. There was a pot of coffee, bagels, cream cheese, white toast etc.

The Inn is beautiful and...

Disliked: Upon check, our room was double booked which caused tremendous confusion between ourselves and the guest who was already in the room we choose. We couldn’t be accommodated for an early check in as we knew that would be better since we were attending a function. Accidentally left a Medical device behind but the inkeeper never called us let us know, we had to call her. If she had called us, we could have either retrieved it ourselves as we didn’t leave the area until two hours later! Luckily our son was able to retrieve it and send it to us for fast delivery. The innkeeper was nice but seemed to not know how to manage well. We are not sure which room we paid for either.
