Perfect hotel in the center...
Liked: Location was perfect, in the center of Back Bay where all the action is! Room quiet and large! Very good shower (although in the bath)! One of the best hotelbars ever, only on our last night overcrowded…If we don’t come back to this hotel it’s because we don’t get to Boston anymore but we’ll tell all our friends
Disliked: We missed a good restaurant and breakfast was not to European standards (eggs, pancakes,…)! Wished for some lighter suggestions like croissants, baguette,…

Third time at the Lenox,...
Liked: This is the third time I have stayed at the Lenox Hotel in the last 10 years when visiting Boston and the primary reason is its location. For me the best part of Boston is the Back Bay Area and no hotel is better place to experience this. A short walk and you can experience dining and shopping of good quality in the nicest part of Boston. The hotel staff are always helpful and there is a feeling that nothing is too much trouble.
Disliked: The hotel now feels very dated. Some might say that is part of its character but for me it needs a freshen up. The bathrooms would be a good starting point but other things like no coffee in the room are a bit tiresome. Sure, there is free coffee each morning, but not having a coffee making facility in room is unacceptable for a hotel charing $3000 for 5 nights. Additionally when paying that rate, paying an additional $70 a day to park a car is unreasonable and frankly disappointing. It also seems to be attractive to corporate customers, not something I recall so on a couple of occasions bar's were closed for said guests private functions. Not a big issue, but something I don't recall previously. For me the bed was also 7 our 10 for comfort, but I appreciate that is a subjective. Not sure I would stay there next time, feels like I have now done the Lenox. But form your own opinion, you could do a lot worse and if you seek a great location, I don't believe there is much better.
