Great hotel near grange village

Very good

Gorgeous views

Liked: Wonderful location, excellent views of cat bells and Skiddaw. Large windows with heated seating (if and when required), framed the view of the fells perfectly. Large rooms and large bathroom with bath and separate shower. Rooms clean and staff very accommodating.. Breakfast choices were excellent.
Disliked: Restricted to one, evening, menu. So, if you don't like the menu choice of the day, you have to go elsewhere to eat. However, it was a 5 course menu and other guests did say the menu was cooked to perfection, at £59 is good value for money.

Perfect transition between hill walking...

Liked: Gorgeous quaint hotel sitting by itself off the road - feels like another quieter world.
Disliked: If you don’t order the tasting menu in advance there’s no meal available. The nearest hotel is only 10m walk up the road but you do need to book.
