The Spotlight on The Laslett

Chic Notting Hill Hideaway Steps From the Tube

Modern British style meets laid-back luxury at The Laslett, a boutique hotel spread across five elegant Victorian townhouses in the heart of Notting Hill. With just 51 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites, this hotel blends curated artwork, full-sized REN bath products, and a well-stocked 'Big Bar' featuring local treats and craft beers. Located less than a minute from Notting Hill Gate Underground Station, you’re connected to all of London in no time.

Why Concert-goers love it

Being less than a minute from the Underground, The Laslett makes it incredibly easy to reach major concert venues across London, from the Royal Albert Hall (just a 26-minute walk) to venues further afield like the O2 or Wembley via direct Tube lines. Post-show, you’ll appreciate the peaceful neighborhood vibe and soundproofed rooms—perfect for winding down. With a check-in time of 13:00, arriving early for a pre-show nap is no problem.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a stylish base with a social vibe
  • Solo travelers ticking off a dream gig and wanting a safe, central spot
  • Couples making a romantic weekend of it in Notting Hill
  • Fans in need of a quiet, luxurious crash pad post-concert
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want a boutique feel

Food and Drink Options

The on-site Henderson bar and coffee shop serves up breakfast daily—ideal after a late night. While there’s no round-the-clock room service, the in-room 'Big Bar' is full of curated treats to keep the munchies at bay. Plus, being in Notting Hill means you’re steps from great eateries for late-night dining or a pre-gig bite.

Nightlife Options

While The Laslett leans more café-bar than club, its location puts you near some of West London’s best bars and lounges for a relaxed drink after the show. The hotel’s own bar serves up local craft drinks in a cozy, artsy setting. Live music venues and buzzing nightlife are just a few Tube stops away.

What People Say

Guests rave about the hotel’s stylish interiors, superb location, and friendly staff. Many love the local neighborhood feel and praise the quick access to the Underground. Reviewers also highlight the comfort of the beds and the high-end amenities in the bathrooms.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that rooms can be on the smaller side, and the check-out time of 10:30 might feel a tad early after a late night. But most agree the charm and convenience outweigh these minor gripes.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers wanting a stylish, well-connected stay with a neighborhood vibe, The Laslett hits all the right notes.

Disliked: The room felt like it was in the basement (-1 level). Some of the staff were quite impolite whilst others were lovely

Always lovely

Liked: I’ve stayed here many times, and what keeps me coming back is the great location and the familiar, welcoming feeling. The design is lovely — stylish yet comfortable — and the convenience of the area is hard to beat.
Disliked: One thing I really struggle with — and have mentioned before — is being placed in an underground room. I feel this should be clearly stated at the time of booking. These rooms could be priced accordingly, with guests given the option to upgrade to a higher floor if they prefer more natural light and a less enclosed feel. It’s all about setting clear expectations and giving guests a fair choice.I also noticed that the receptionist, while absolutely fantastic and doing her best, seemed really stressed and overwhelmed. She was professional and helpful throughout, but it’s not nice as a guest to see someone under that much pressure. It gave the sense that the team may be stretched too thin, which affects the overall atmosphere of the stay.

Good

Liked: Amazing friendly staff, super comfy bed in a good sized room. Brilliant location next the tube and buses.
Disliked: Barely any natural light in room as was underground. No light in dressing area or full length mirror.I was emailed prior to stay re having a ‘green stay’ and not changing sheets and towels each night and my acceptance was ignored.

Not good value for money

Liked: It was spacious but it was what we paid for
Disliked: 1. The air conditioner didn't work the first night and it was very hot. I called reception to let them know but they told me it was ok and I had just to wait. The morning after it was every hotter so I complained again about it. They repaired but I didn't get anything instead and it was a pity because I didn't sleep the first night because it was too hot.2. They offer free coffee machine at the room, but not milk, neither tea. Very strange because it is London!3. They asked me for a deposit of 150 pounds in case I use something from the mini-bar. That was very weird. Also I had to purchase the water, which I found confused given into account it is a "five star" hotel. We only got a bottle of water the first day.4. Overall it was not good value for money.
