A lovely place to stay

Liked: Despite booking last-minute for a business trip with minimal expectations beyond a good night's sleep, we were pleasantly surprised. The place exceeded our expectations — the room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and served by friendly, attentive staff. After work, we enjoyed relaxing with a pint in the lovely garden. We will definitely return.

Superb

Liked: Food was lovely, had both breakfast and an evening meal in the pub and it was fantastic. Room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was nice and big.
Disliked: I did hear some noise from the road in my room but I did have the windows open due to the heat.

It was a lovely surprise-...

Liked: I was walking with my daughter and did not realise my phone was on silent. Mark (the owner) tried everything to get in touch with me to tell us our room was out of action (no fault of the hotel) and he went above and beyond to resolve the issue. We had a. very comfortable room with excellent on-suite facilities. Food was great- I had their beetroot pie which was excellent. The Lantern Pike Inn is a beautiful building and has been tastefully restored. The prices are very reasonable. If you can stop here - do!
Disliked: That the owners were having a rough time because of personal issues - we wish them both well.

Lovely stay in a great...

Liked: Great location, accommodating host and food was nice. Room was small but comfy and quiet even being on the main road facing window. Nice stay would come back again
Disliked: Toilet was next to shower but very squeezed in, I can see the space was limited in bathroom so it would be hard to place it anywhere else. No problem for me but larger people might find it a tight squeeze between shower/toilet.
