The Lansdowne Hotel

Friendly staff and convenient location

Liked: Staff at reception and in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a very convenient location for the city centre (well connected via public transport) and for the ferry port. The room was spacious and clean. Food in the restaurant was very good.
Disliked: The room was extremely hot and there was no A/C. The open window did little to cool the room down. There is no kettle/tea/coffee provided in the room. Complimentary tea and coffee can be ordered through reception, but as I checked out at 5AM there was only a night porter and no means of getting a cup of coffee before hitting the road.

Great for an overnight whilst...

Liked: Lovely room and very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious. Plenty of parking, good wifi, comfy bed. Only one night and will be back.

Ok, could be better

Liked: Staff were great, beer garden was nice. Beds and pillows were comfy. Complimentary water and Tayto crisps was a nice touch. Free parking.
Disliked: Overpriced in my opinion. Room was ok, could do with upgrading. The noise from the music and the beer garden was awful, we couldn’t sleep. Booking.com listed it as close to Ormeau Park for out gig. We were £20 each way in a taxi so not close by at all.

Great location, fab staff, convenient...

Liked: We've stayed at the Lansdown before. Love the on site parking - for free! The location - nice and central and in easy reach of central Belfast by car, taxi or public transport. Staff are always super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Rooms are of a good size and I especially love the fact that they have USB sockets (lots of them) as well as plug sockets. Beds are comfy. Breakfast wasn't included in the booking, but available on the day - it's good value and from an a la carte menu meaning that if you're a toast and coffee person you don't feel ripped off by having to pay (a usually expensive) fixed price on breakfast.
Disliked: My father felt the noise from the main road was a bit distracting trying to get off to sleep - I didn't really feel that way. The bathroom doors swing closed after opening - I found this a bit annoying - and noisy, each time, but not so that it detracted from a positive experience.
